Scenic Drive Day Trip

The drive to the top of 17 out of Waitsfield is gorgeous. A fun adventure is to continue down 117 then take 116 to the Lincoln Road on to Lincoln. Stop at the Lincoln General Store for some of their amazing baked goods (great local bacon in their freezer too). Then take the Ripton Road (with great views of the Green Mountain National Forest) to 125 to Texas Falls. Return home on 100, stopping to see Warren Falls then take the Brook Road, to East Warren Rd, to the Common Road, to the North Road, to Pony Farm Road, to 100B north just south of Moretown.

I recommend trying to do this trip on a day when the baker is in at the Lincoln General Store. A stop for a snack at the Warren Store is also a delight.
